Year Two: Expanding My Horizons
My second year was a game-changer, opening up new possibilities and deepening my understanding of design. While I didn't have a single standout project, what I gained in terms of skills was pure gold. This year was all about becoming a versatile designer and exploring different aspects of creativity.
I dove into the world of visual communication, learning how to use drawings and pictures to explain even the trickiest ideas. I also got hands-on with SolidWorks, a cool tool that helped me design all sorts of things on my computer screen. I even got to explore how design has evolved over time, which was like going on a journey through the history of cool ideas.
But it wasn't just about design. I also jumped into marketing and accounting, learning how to make great ideas into successful products. The idea of universal design hit home, showing me how important it is to create things that everyone can use easily.
All these different skills became like a superhero toolkit, helping me tackle problems from all angles. My second year was like a treasure trove of skills and knowledge that I'm still using to shape my design journey. It's like I learned to see the world in a whole new way.
